This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you if you sign up to receive our newsletter, register to become a member of our online learning environment (moodle – www.learning.mariapaviour.com ), register for or purchase an event via our website or Eventbrite, or ask us to contact you with information about one of our services. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/ After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you to answer your enquiries, process your order, manage your account and, if you agree, to email you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you. We use your information collected from the website to personalise your repeat visits to our website. If you subscribe, we will use your information to email you our monthly newsletter.

If you have consented to receive telephone marketing from us, we may use a trusted third party processor in order to do this.

Maria Paviour Company Ltd will not share your information for marketing purposes with any other companies. In processing your order, we may send your details to, and also use information from credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies.

Your data will be stored on our secure contact management system, hosted by Active Campaign, based in the US, who adhere to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Active Campaign’s privacy policy

Ordering and paying for a course

Orders for courses through www.neuchemcoaching.com: payments are processed using Woocommerce, and subject to their privacy policy.

Introduction to NeuChem courses are processed securely using the event ticketing website Eventbrite. Data processed by Eventbrite will be stored in the US. Eventbrite certifies to the EU-US Privacy Shield framework operated by the US Department of Commerce. Eventbrite’s certification was effective 14th October 2016. Eventbrite’s privacy policy. 

Payments taken through Eventbrite are processed by Paypal, and subject to the Paypal privacy policy.

Lawful basis for processing

Data collected to fulfil orders/purchases will be processed under the lawful basis ‘Contractual Necessity’

If you subscribe to our newsletter, or opt in to receive marketing from us, we will process your data using the lawful basis ‘consent’.

Plugins

Neuchemcoaching.com is a wordpress site, and uses software called ‘plugins’ to enable us to process orders/purchases. Details of these plugins and their purpose are below.

  • WooCommerce – this is a secure ecommerce payment gateway. Information you provide when purchasing/ordering through our website will be processed using woocommerce.
  • Really Simple SSL – is used to provide secure SSL connection, encrypting data securely

How long will we hold your data? 

We carry out periodic reviews of our data, and from time to time will email asking you to update your data and communication preferences.After a period of inactivity of 12 months we will remove your data.  

Data relating to purchases/orders will be retained in line with regulatory requirements.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Marketing

We would like to send you information about products and services of ours which may be of interest to you. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please email hello@neuchemcoaching.com

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email hello@neuchemcoachingcom  and we will respond with the information requested within 28 days of the completed request. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. 

Cookies
